THE GUILD RECOMMEND THAT

 

if you are pregnant or postnatal any class you attend should NOT include:

High impact, uncontrolled movement, such as running or sprinting.

Running with  a baby in a buggy, this is never acceptable and probably uninsurable.

Rapid changes of position or uncontrolled  twisting, such as circuits, boxing or high impact aerobics.

"Sit up" type exercises or  static, isolation, body weighted moves.

Pilates or Yoga style moves higher than absolute beginner level.

Heavy weights or heavy resistance moves such as "kettlebells", "powerclubs", "bootcamp" or "military style" training.

Using a baby as a weight or involving a baby directly in exercise.

Use of a commercial video or DVD.

Anything that causes loss of pelvic floor control or pelvic girdle/back pain.
